Today the crew went on an epic-sounding hike-to-climb adventure. Amelia, Messi, and myself stayed back in the camper and had a low-key day.
On the group’s hike, apparently they missed a turn and got turned around for a bit. The photo below is one DJ sent me from the hike. Apparently, they could see the campground we were staying at from this point.
Meanwhile, Messi enjoyed his screen-window effect by opening the “garage” door on the camper. He hung out in his kennel like this for quite awhile today. (It clearly helped that Amelia and I were in the camper with him instead of outside of it).
I did my YogaBurn, lunch, and a restorative yoga today while hanging with the little ones. I also watched a couple episodes on Netflix. It was a gorgeous morning and I had the windows and screen door open. Like I said, super chill day for Amelia, Messi and myself.
The hiking-climbing crew finally got back and we ordered Dominoes and they delivered to our campsite!
We hung out a little longer and then our friends took off to grab groceries and get ready for their day tomorrow.
Being it was still early, DJ and I opted to load the camper, dump the tanks, and we took off from Estes Park at about 7 pm.
We were undecided about our travel plans, we talked thru our options and eventually landed on going back to DJ’s sisters house for the night. It’s an hour+ closer to Minnesota and we get to spend a little more time with them. (We had talked about driving to somewhere in Nebraska for the night, driving all the way to Minnesota tonight, or staying at DJ’s sisters).
We all showered, started a load of laundry, and have done our dishes. We are headed to be soon and TBD what tomorrow will bring… goodnight!
