These cuties in the backseat have been absolutely fabulous today (and the whole 1.5 weeks!)
Amelia likes “feets -ing” (what we call it, where she likes to connect with you via putting her feet on yours). Jackson was all about it this afternoon. Seriously, love these two!

Today we got loaded and going from our campsite in Georgia, that was literally a mile north of the Florida boarder.
We hit a lot of traffic today randomly, which is clearly not ideal when trying to drive 670 miles in one day!

As today is day 10 of our Spring Break, we are all a little burnt toast from our adventures and driving. We opted to head straight home instead of stopping at the Congareee National Park in South Carolina, which would have added another night to our trip. Maybe next time. Our kids don’t go back to school until Wednesday this week, so we did have time.
Lunch today was a bit of a failure. We have not stopped for groceries this entire time (just the cute roadside store for oranges and orange juice). We are out of bread and most produce. Basically we didn’t have easy lunch food/food that didn’t need to be cooked.
So, we tried stopping at a Love’s with a Hardee’s. I looked online and saw Hardee’s offers a bean, cheese, and rice burrito on its menu… but not at that location. DJ and I ended up with kid’s meals grilled cheese as that was the only non-meat option. They were soggy and the cheese wasn’t melted. Definitely not ordering that again.
This evening we pre-planned a bit better and made sure to grab stuff at the gas station to set ourselves up for a dinner. DI and I had peanut butter and banana roll-ups with chips, cuties, and Oreos. Jackson had a lunchable, with Oreos, applesauce squeezie, and some blueberries.

We are almost home, it’s 8:40 pm. We left the campground at about 8:30 am… so this driving day has been well over 12 hours, as we will be getting home around 9:10 pm. (We definitely have hit Easter Sunday/end of spring break/regular weekend get back to DC traffic this evening which has added time to our drive).
Excited to get home and go to bed. We have about 4 items to grab from the camper tonight and that’s it! We will all be headed to bed ASAP after arrival. (Amelia has been asleep since about 7:30 pm).
Good night!
