Today was the last day before we start driving back to Virginia! I can hardly believe that our month long road-trip went by so fast!
I got a surprise visitor this morning, my bestie since I was like 2 and in daycare was on her own road-trip home and stopped by the camper quick for a 20 minute visit. I love how we just pick up where we left off every time we are together… we could have chatted for days! She was up at her parent’s cabin at a nearby lake this weekend and stopped by knowing she had an 8 hour drive home with 2 of her 3 kids still today. (Love and miss you bunches!)
The rest of the day was spent doing a little last minute laundry, putting away some odds and ends that have snuck out of their permanent spots in the camper, and hanging out with family friends while the kids went tubing on the lake.
Tubing on the lake was a bucket list item for Jackson this trip. He LOVES tubing and he had a blast hanging out with the crew tonight. They tubed and swam in the middle of the lake for over 2 hours!
My mom made dinner tonight and brought it out to the camper. Jackson and Nana made lava cakes for dessert and they were yummy!
Tomorrow we will get going around 2 pm. I have a couple things to do before then, but we are decently settled to start our drive back!
I’m going to miss these gorgeous sunsets I’ve gotten to enjoy the last few nights from our campsite… and obviously, more importantly I’m (we are) going to miss our friends and family on Minnesota too! Goodnight!
