Today was gorgeous!
There wasn’t much wind. The temp was perfect in the morning for playing outside. It got up in the 80’s this afternoon for some beach/swimming time. An absolutely a great weather day for being at the lake.
The big kids did some fishing today at a nearby lake. They caught a bunch between the 4 kids that were fishing.
Apparently though, Jackson only caught 2(?) of the fish and his girl cousins got over 10(?) each? Not entirely sure as I wasn’t there. Jackson seemed a touch annoyed and disappointed at the big difference in number of fish caught, but had fun otherwise.
As mentioned above, we did some swimming at the beach after lunch. Amelia wasn’t thrilled with the cooler water temperature and whole ordeal this year. I walked her into the water twice to get her legs and toes wet. Neither time lasted more than a minute or two. But, she got in the lake!
Jackson is having so much fun with the cousins, he is kinda forgetting he has a dog. Oops! So, I’m giving Messi some extra snuggles tonight while writing this. Messi is doing so well this week and he is learning more and more about how to be a dog.
He got left in his kennel with the AC on in the camper for the first time and didn’t bark or go crazy when we were at the beach. I also left him in the camper this evening with Amelia sleeping (with a video monitor on her) to go wash dishes in the cabin. He was just laying on the bed when I got back.
He is thoroughly enjoying laying in the sun at our campsite with a leash on tied up. He is quite the camping dog now!
That’s about all for now, we are doing our bedtime routines now and headed to bed! Good night!
