Today was a day…

Nothing crazy, we got all of our stuff… it was just draining. The weather this morning was below freezing. The moving crew did fabulous and left by 3 pm. We apparently had 7,000 lbs of stuff shipped. DJ’s work pays for up to 18,000 lbs. The movers said they have a job next week at 26,000 lbs!
Craziness… it makes me feel a little better about how much “stuff” we have. It’s been a continual process for me to try to declutter and aim for more minimalism. It obviously helped living in a 1,200 square foot apartment in California. There wasn’t room for much extra.
Amelia was quite the sleeping beauty this morning… turns out she was running a temp. 102.3° F. Little nugget. She got Tylenol and then like 45 minutes later some ibuprofen. She didn’t need anymore after those stacked doses and she perked up this afternoon and evening. TBD… we may need to get her ears looked at and her lungs listened to tomorrow if she has anymore temps, just to check to make sure she isn’t brewing something.

As for other fun… we will need another couch as our grey one went downstairs… that’s a project for this week. For this house we have too much storage furniture (soo much built in /closets/ storage room space here) and not enough sitting/couches furniture.

Also on the to-do list this week… DJ will be bringing the camper in tomorrow morning to get it officially “totaled.” The amount the frame shifted and the cost of the camper make us 99.9% sure it’s not fixable/worth fixing. That being said, DJ and I spent time un-doing almost all my camper projects this evening.
Everything from removing the friction hinges on the door, to the projector mount, to the bathroom shelf got removed.

Definitely sad to have to un-do all of my 2.5 years of work and modifications… however, we have our eyes set on a beautiful upgrade that is only like 1-2 feet longer and makes us quite excited. The fridge and freezer are separate and HUGE! The bunks are “double” so more space for the kids as they grow. It’s a very similar layout (kinda mirror images) from our current Coleman 17B, but it’s not an entry level camper so it comes with things like more outlets, USB charging ports in the bunks, outside LED lights, a sink and medicine cabinet in the bathroom, a flat/glass covered 2 burner stove top= more counter space….
Again, I’ll post if that ends up happening… insurance has already sent us a preliminary check, based on the amount of damage done to the bumper and siding… so, they are quick and DJ doesn’t start work for another week (and my parents will be out on Wednesday)… so it may just work out to do all of the things this week.
That’s about it for now!
Say goodbye and thanks to our camper tonight for all the adventures! She will be missed!
